Before you buy
Before you buy a dock for your iPod read the following:
Power: Mains or Battery
Some docks such as the Bose and JBL are mains-powered only, so won't work on the beach, while others are battery powered, making them more suited to portable use. If you're planning to use your dock aroad, check if it comes with plug adapters for use in other countries - it saves you having to buy them at the airport.
Connections: Check your inputs
If you want to use your dock to sync your iPod with your PC or Mac, check it has FireWire or USB 2.0 inputs so you can easily transfer your music library. For iPod Photo owners, make sure the dock you buy will fit into its slot before you buy.
