Apple fails to meet Norwegian iTunes demands

Demand that Apple change some of it's iTunes Music Store policies has made Norwegian consumer authorities not pleased at all with a reply from Apple.

The consumer authorities of Norway, and then Denmark and Sweden wanted explanation why Apple has lock iTunes customers to a single brand of music player, the iPod, and in June sent Apple a letter warning that some of the terms and conditions applied by its iTunes Music Store might conflict with the countries’ national marketing laws.

In it Apple states “iTunes show a will to change and to keep up a dialogue, but a lot of issues are still at stake before agreement can be reached on all points. Important issues such as a disclaim of responsibilities and the locking of the product to iPod remain unsolved”.
