Jamo I300 [£300]

The Jamo I300 delivers an impressively wide soundstage with its satelite sitting at least 1m apart and also sounds extremely detailed, meaning it's possible to pick out lots of information fromyour music.

The Jamo I300 subwoofer lacks tautness at louder levels, so the best system balance is to actually turn the subwoofer volume down but this has a negative effect on integration, meaning music can sound a little detached.

Basically, there's actually nothing wrong with the the Jamo. The unit's fit and finish are superb, and if the price could be cut and the sub tightened up, the Jamo would be a winner.

Pros

  • Excellent built

  • Very versatile

  • Good detail

  • Wide soundstage

Cons

  • Highly priced

  • Lower frequencies can lack definition

Verdict

The Jamo I300 offers high-quality sound, plus impressive feature-count, but at a high price.
